Meanwhile, far away, in the Hyper-Omega Maximum Security Prison underground, a strange man brooded in his cell. His arms and legs were shackled and the cell walls were completely impenatrable. He had piercing red eyes and wild black hair. He wore a red shirt and a red cape, and black pants. He snarled, showing that his teeth were not normal, but sharp and jagged. This was Hyperbolt, prisoner #165876, quite possibly the most dangerous criminal ever to walk the face of the earth. His eyes glowed briefly with an eerie red light. Something was coming.
Without warning, one of the blasts penetrated the roof of his cell and struck him. But instead of triggering a transformation, the energy was absorbed into his body, awakening and fueling a long-dormant power within him. Hyperbolt felt this power coursing through him and laughed. He jumped up and tore his bonds apart with a quick yank. He levitated a couple feet into the air, then raised his arm to the ceiling. A blast of red energy fired from his arm and blasted a hole in the ceiling all the way up to the surface. Hyperbolt laughed maniacally, before using his newfound power to fire himself up through the hole he made in the form of a bolt of red energy. Upon reaching the surface, he re-materialized and looked around. With his new power, he was unstoppable! The world was his for the taking!
