You try to run, but before you can even turn around the glow has enveloped you. Your body convulses as the glow flashes around you, and as the glow vanishes you fall (or are thrown) forward onto your hands and knees. You remain in that position, wide-eyed, trembling, panting, sweating, your entire body aching. After a couple seconds though, you stand, your body slowly drawn into an upright position by some outside force. Something's off about your balance, and you stumble, though remaining upright. You look down and are shocked to see your legs turning gray and slightly shiny, from the feet up. You stare in horror as your feet are reshaped. Your toes fuse together, forming two large claws on the front of each of your narrowing feet. Your heels cease to exist, each one becoming a third claw on the back of your long, thin feet. Your ankles have become thinner, too. The shiny gray color spreads up your legs, and as it does your legs become thinner (though retaining their feminine shape) and appear chitonous, like an insect's. This is further exemplified by the three small spines that appear on the back of each of your legs below the knee.
Once the transformation reaches your knees, you feel a sharp pain, yelping out as your legs break nearly in two at the knee. Looking at your legs, it appears visually that only the newly-formed shell-like kneecaps are holding your lower legs to your upper leg, though the area feels just as strong as before. The transformation continues to spread upwards, hardening and thinning your upper legs (without reshaping them). You feel a sharp, stabbing pain as the transformation infects your crotch, but upon inspection you find the only change is that the area is now hardened and stiff (without testing it you also know that only the inside is sensitive now). Your butt, too, has become hard and stiff, and shockingly your buttcrack seems to have been sealed. What is left of your ass starts to push out, eventually forming a fully-developed, though relatively small (no larger than your head), insect's abdomen.
Meanwhile, you find your hands, too, have changed, forming the same three-clawed bug's foot your feet have become. However the third claw on your hands forms a thumb, and unlike the ones on your feet, the claws on your hands are movable at the base, forming crude fingers. Your arms undergo the same transformation as your legs. At your shoulders, the same breakage occurs that happened at your knees and elbows. As you stare, your spine is forced straight as a segmented, chitonous armor spreads up your torso from your crotch. Your body's feminine shape remains unchanged, though the armor covers everything until it stops where your neck connects to your head. The skin on your head hardens, becoming tough to the touch though still movable. Your nose vanishes, and two small mandibles grow out of the corners of your mouth (though your jaws remain). Your eyes widen in your face, becoming dark-colored compound eyes. Finally, a pair of antennae rises from your hair and move to hang forward.
