You think to yourself, just before your pulled through the portal 'Am I out of my mind?' But it doesn't matter because before you know it, you are lying in a hospital bed with some guy you don't know next to you holding your hand. You realize your squeezing his because of the unbelievable pain you feel in your lower regions. Then, for some reason, a thought flows through your head telling you to push and push hard. You don't really know why, but it seems you know what to do. You can't help but wonder if all the change did is make you look like a woman. Maybe it made you think like one too? You don't have much time to think about it as the pain intensifies and out of instinct, you push with everything you have squeezing the unfamiliar man's hand harder. You then finally notice that there are also doctors and nurses surrounding you. One if the nurses encourages your actions.
"That's it, honey, push! Keep going, don't worry, it will be over soon!"
The man then speaks
"It's alright, darling, I'm right here."
From what you can gather from that simple statement, you figure this man must somehow be your husband although you don't remember ever meeting such a man, much less marrying him, and even more so, making love to him which is the only reason you could possibly be a full nine months pregnant right now and about to give birth. but none of that seems to really matter as all your current thoughts are focused on getting whatever it is out of your body. You give one final heave with all your might, and, finally, out comes the new life. The doctor hands you your baby and proclaims for the whole room to hear:
"Congratulations, ma'am, it's a girl!"
As the doctor places the newborn into your arms and she instinctively begins sucking on your nipple, a huge part of you suddenly feels like every part of this is perfectly natural. Your a beautiful woman married to a very handsome looking man who you love dearly and now, you have this baby girl to complete your family. Not one bit of this feels strange at all suddenly, as though you've always been a female and are just now acknowledging the fact for whatever reason. Not really wanting to bother with the details of how you got into this situation or why this all feels so right all of the sudden, you smile as the newborn continues drawing breast milk from your nipple. Are you going to get a happy ending after all? As soon as you think that, you, your "husband", and the newborn all get pulled into an alternate space with three new portals. ' Oh no, not again ' You think to yourself. One is marked 'Daughter', one reads 'Sister' and the last one says 'Niece' As you wonder what could possibly lay on the other side of these new gateways, you notice that your baby is suddenly growing at a phenomenal rate. As though several years have suddenly gone by in a flash, you look down to see a 6 year old girl staring at you strangely. "Mommy, I wanna be a princess!" She says. Wondering what else could possibly happen, two new portals appear. One marked 'Princess' and the other 'Mermaid' Before any other unusual thing can happen, you quickly choose . . .
