Kohiro takes out his large icy sword and brandishes it threateningly. Raijin removes his spear from his back, and it begins crackling with electricity. The wizard charges his magic.
"Foolish," Raijin scoffs. "An attack on my empire now? Do the forces of darkness honestly think that my empire lasted 2000 years without a standing army ready to protect it? The alarm has already sounded. Now, we fight."
Kohiro's eyes flash an icy blue, and ice condenses on the ground and palace floor and walls, as the temperature plummets and wind blows and snow begins to fall. Raijin's eyes shine with electricity and the lightning overhead flashes much more fiercely. From your view from the balcony, you can see a great many knights and samurai emerge from the side of the palace, opposing the dark army.
"The four of us are the most powerful fighters opposing the darkness," Raijin states, "Especially myself, Kohiro, and Sayuri by far. Do not bother with the footsoldiers any more than you have to, allow my army to handle those. Find the leaders. Eliminate the strongest individual opponents."
With that, Raijin jumps off the balcony, his body flashing with electricity as he slams into the ground unharmed. Kohiro clenches his fist, and several progressively-smaller pillars of ice rise from the now-frozen ground. Kohiro jumps from the balcony onto the first, then to each successive one, before jumping to the ground. You jump off, and the amulet shines and slows your fall. The wizard encases himself in a bubble and levitates after you.
Glancing around, you see Raijin and Kohiro easily cutting their way through the massive horde of dark beasts and monsters while Raijin's army holds them back from the palace. Raijin slashes his spear effortlessly through the monsters, moving fluidly and easily, using his free hand to shoot off bolts of electricity, while he makes his way through the horde searching for one of the leaders. Kohiro holds his greatsword in one hand, charging his power in the other, as he freezes the beasts around him in place, crushing several frozen enemies as he too searches for one of the leaders. The wizard levitates above the warring armies, shooting potshots at the dark monsters with his magic. You grip your sword in both hands and grin, the amulet flashing as you charge forward, effortlessly slicing through the dark creatures.
After what feels like at least an hour, you find yourself in an opening in the horde. You hear a weird, deep chuckle as a large, much stronger-looking monster emerges. It looks like an elephant-sized six-legged black lizard with a long whiplike tail, a long neck, sharp horns, and a lion's mane. "Well well what do we have here?" it says in a creepy deep reverberating voice. "A human girl managed to reach me, one of the five generals of the Dark Army? You have been lucky so far, human girl, but your luck has run out. Tell me your name, human."
You glare at the lizard-thing, aiming your sword at it threateningly. "I'm Sayuri."
The lizard-thing hisses. "I am called General Zykot. And I'm going to kill you."
