Termites?

You decide to take your chances and head towards the cabin. You slip a little on the stairs, but you catch yourself. The boards on the porch are loose, and not only put splinters in the soles of your feet, they feel as though they're about to give. Nonetheless, you knock with all your might on the front door. No answer. You beat on it with fury as you hear Richard thumping towards you. Slowly, he climbs the stairs. You are trapped between two porch railings, a locked door, and a maniac. You back up against the door and watch in terror as he approaches you. "It's time to pay, Stephanie," he whispers. As he steps onto the last step, the board gives and he tumbles inbetween the faulty structure, now very much injured and stuck. It's your chance to escape this crazed maniac! You dust off your hands and step on his head as you strut triumphantly awa--...You stop. You can hardly hear what he is saying, because he has had the breath knocked out of him. In between his rickety breathing and painful whimpers, you can barely make out that he is begging you for your help.
