When you awake, you discover you are no longer buried in rock. The cave looks much smaller than it did before - in fact, half the roof is missing and it looks like the boulders trapping you gradually eroded over many years - and the rocks are weathered. You look down at yourself and gasp - you no longer appear to be a Dragon, but more a half-dragon, similar to the Zero fiend that killed your entire brood. The only difference is your scales are a darker red, your wings are much larger and you have the remnants of a tail.. And the fact that you're a good ten feet taller than Zero was.
"What happened? Where did that Zero bastard go?! How come the cave is wrecked?!" you roar, lashing your tinny little tail against the ground. Being shorter, your balance would be fine without it, but as it is you're rendered much clumsier. You stagger away from the rocks and discover, to your astonishment, dragon bones. But your family were killed just last night.. how could they rot so fast?
"Ah, you're awake at last." a wise, kindly voice issues from nearby.
