Up: Game 1  Up: Game 1 Outline

It seems like 'The Price is Right' show that you're familiar with, but there are some things much different about it

You can see a large television studio audience watching you as you run your hands over the motorcycle. The audience starts cheering loudly. Over the speakers in the studio, you hear a p.a. announcer describing the motorcycle in a typical game show announcer voice. Something about the voice is not quite right, though. You have watched 'The Price is Right' several times and never heard this voice before.

When the announcer has finished, you feel your body turn toward the game show host and the contestant. To your surprise, Bob Barker is not the one hosting the show. Instead, there is a younger, tall, blonde-haired woman acting as the host . . . er, hostess. Her attire is basically a business suit. She is wearing a white blouse with some ruffles on the front, a red skirt that ends just above her knees, and a red jacket. Barker has hosted 'The Price is Right' since the 1970s. You wonder if this is someone chosen to temporarily replace Barker.

The hostess, who had been looking toward the audience with a grin on her face, turns toward the contestant, a middle-aged, overweight, balding man. "And, if you can correctly guess the price using the Range Finder, you will win a dinner date with Christina!"

You wonder who the hostess is talking about, but not for long. You feel your hands place themselves on your hips. You wink at the contestant. All of these body movements are, of course, against your will. You hear several male members of the audience let out wolf whistles. The contestant smiles widely and gives you an up-and-down glance.

"No," you think to yourself. "Don't make me do this. Please, stop."

Your body blows a kiss to the audience, encouraging one more round of wolf whistles before the hostess continues with the Range Finder game.
