Game 1 | Game 1 Outline |
The black holes along the Kessel Run form what is known as the Maw. There is also the Pit, an asteroid field shrouded in the gaseous arm of a nebula. Together, the Pit and the Maw are what make the Kessel Run into a dangerous area to navigate.
You are considering navigating through the Maw, which is the route Han Solo took when he did the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. This is the shortest recorded distance any ship has ever completed going thru the Run. Most ships stick to safer routes so as not to slam into an asteroid or become caught in the event horizon of a black hole. Solo proved that it is possible to survive the Maw, but you know the risk involved. If you should fly too close to the magnetic field of a neutron star, you could be yanked off course and fly directly into a plasma jet emanating from the star's location. The plasma radiation would fry you to a crisp in as little as a few seconds.
So, what do you do? Fly into the Maw, fly into the Pit, or find another means of escape?
