Dazed and confused, you wander into your living room and flop onto the sofa, so lost in thought that you barely notice the sofa collapsing beneath your massive new rhino body. "This is insane," you murmur to no one in particular. "People don't just spontaneously transform into animals. How could this have happened?"
It all started with those bizarre dreams. You met a talking wolf named Fred who asked for your help. You followed Fred to his home, but when you touched the door you received an electric shock that transformed you into an otter. Then "Fred" pulled off his wolf disguise; he was actually a burglar named Raffles.
Then came the dream within the dream, the one in which Raffles injected you with some sort of potion. But you had awakened from that episode, also.
You gaze down at your mutated hand, now sporting only three useable digits. "Maybe this is just a dream, too," you muse out loud. How can you find out?
