You're new here, aren't you?

Fortunately for you and Fred, the bus has been modified to accommodate people in bulky costumes. The center aisle is extra-wide, and the dozen or so seats are all oversized. A pair of seats at the back of the bus are double-extra-large (probably reserved for Ed and Edna Elephant, you think wrily). You and Fred lower your bloated bodies into these seats and breathe twin sighs of relief.

So far your plan is working perfectly--except you notice that the driver is casting puzzled looks at you and Fred every minute or two. Finally, the driver calls back, "Say, are you new characters? I don't remember seeing you before."

Thinking quickly, you reply, "Yeah, we're new. Some of the kids were scared of the realistic wolves, so they decided to try a roly-poly look. Less threatening and all that."

The driver nods his head knowingly, apparently satisfied with your answer, and asks no further questions.

Minutes later, the bus pulls up to the employees' entrance of Animaland.
