Nothing ventured ... well, you don't want to gain anything, but ...

Finally, you decide to broach the subject gently. "So", you begin, "um, what's it like being a cabbie?"

"Not bad", he responds, thankfully never taking his eyes off the road. "Kinda boring most nights. Not that I'm complaining", he adds, as he turns a corner. "Too much excitement in this line o' work can be hazardous to your health."

"Yeah, I'd guess so", you answer. "So it's an okay line of work?"

"Eh", he shrugs, "not bad. Only real problem is, you tend to gain weight, what with sittin' down all the time, eatin' fast food."

Gain weight? Okay, maybe it's not such a great job for you. On the other hand, if you can't get thin again, it's something to keep in mind.

"We're here", the cabbie calls out as he strains to turn the wheel against the grip of his belly. "Got your card ready?"

As you clamber from the van, the big-bellied driver passes your card through the reader and helps Fred to the ground. "You're gonna need to find a place to keep this fella", he grunts as he reaches around his rols of flab to set Fred on the ground. "Funny that way. No pets allowed in Animaland."

"Thanks", you tell him as he climbs back into the cab. As he roars off, you turn to face the entry gate and turnstiles.

"Well", says Fred as he drags himself to the side of the path, "Looks like you're on your own from here on in."

"What?"

"You heard him", he counters. "No 'pets' allowed. You'll have to find Raffles yourself. Oof", he pants as he settles down atop his flabby belly in the shade of a large bush. "Just remember to bring some cure back for me, okay?"

Reluctantly, you bid Fred goodbye and slowly waddle your way to the entry gate.

Once you stumble, panting, to a nearby bench, you finally get a look at the gateway to Animaland. To the right are the turnstiles used by the usual patrons of Animaland. They look darned narrow for your immensity to pass through, and you're afraid you might get stuck.

The only other option is the handicapped gate. Since Animaland is "people-friendly", they do have a larger gate, normally used by wheelchair-bound patrons. You notice, however, that there's a security camera over that entrance ... could it reveal your presence to Raffles?

It's a tough choice, but you finally decide to take ...
