The unbelievable story

The wolf looks at you suspiciously and asks: "You aren't going to run away in panic, are you?"

"Oh no, n-n-no! What m-makes you think so?" you assure the wolf, hiding your shaking hands behind your back.

"You wouldn't be the first, you know."

"No, I really wouldn't d-d-dream of such a thing. I have n-no problems with talking wolves whatsoever. So, how c-can I help you?"

"Well, to make a long story short, I was turned into this mass of fur by an evil mage. I tried to undo the spell but it's too strong for me. And I have to turn into human again by next Friday."

"But what can I do? I'm not a mage!"

"But at least you're the only person who didn't ran away."

"And how it can possibly help?" "Well, I was thinking you might want to help me find a magician. Wouldn't it be interesting? To forget about your day-to-day life for a while, to go on a quest!"

Of course, you wouldn't even dream of such a thing. What this crazy wolf is talking about?!! You are quite happy with your life. It can sometimes be a bit boring, but you have a good job, a girlfriend, a big house... And you don't run into mages who turn you into things you don't want to be.

"Do I really look like a man disappointed with his life?" you ask indignantly.

"Well, yes!" the wolf smiles.

"O. K.," you nod, feeling quite faint. This smile is so scary, you suddenly understand that you are in no position to argue.

"Great!" the wolf howls; "Let's go!"

"But can't you do it yourself?" you give it a last try. "As far as I can see this transformation hasn't affected your ability to talk."

"Something tells me you will be more successful. You appearance seems somewhat... friendlier," the wolf grins sarcastically.

"O. K., O. K., I'm ready. What do we do now, Mr. Wolf?"

"You can call me Luke, by the way."

"And I'm Mick."

"Nice to meet you, Mick."

"Nice to meet you too, Luke, but please, please, stop smiling!"
