You apologize, then ask, "Sorry, but what can I do about this? I don't want to be a werewolf."

"There are a few options", Paul responds. "You can go ask Fred what to do, use some medicine to speed up the transformation, wait for Irene to get home and ask her, or", he smirks, "shoot yourself with a silver bullet. Unless you have a better idea?"
