Talking and Escaping

"Are you okay?", you ask Irene, feeling terribly stupid for asking such a question.

Irene gives you a annoyed look. "No, I am NOT okay. I've been turned into a cat!"

"Hey", you snap, "I got turned into a wolf, myself. That stupid Fred must have bit me and..."

Irene interrupts, "That Fred guy bit you? That means you're curable! The MEU can cure you, and even turn you into something else if you like, once we get to HQ."

Relieved at the news, you smile. Then you realize the problem. "If we're stuck in here, how do we get to HQ?"

Irene laughs, "Easy. See the guard out there?" You look and see a humanoid slug. Irene continues, "I've escaped from him 25 times before." With that, she goes to the bars and says, "Hey, guard, will you please let me out?", making Bambi eyes at him.

"Oh, no", the guard answers. "That trick worked the last 25 times, but not this time!"

Irene just shrugs, not put out in the least. Then, with a wicked grin, she uses her claws to unlock the door, swinging it open and punching out the guard in one sinuous motion. "A little something from training", she grins at your surprised look. "The trainers transform us into different werecreatures, put us into situations, we get out, then they return us to normal. Now, let's go get Janine."
