Up: Game 2  Up: Game 2 Outline

Alleyway Assistance

You find it relatively easy to clear the rooftops in your new form, clearing the gaps between buildings with little to no effort. You also notice that you have been running full out for about six blocks or so, and haven't even started to breathe hard. You apparently have a better endurance level as a werecat.

You stop momentarily to get your bearings and make your clothing a little less restricting. After casting off what's left of your socks, now frayed and falling apart from your excessive running, you take a moment to widen the tail hole in the seat of your pants. After a second or two, you start to feel the blood flow a bit more freely through your tail. It comfortably sways behind you, almost of its own accord. You limber up, crouch, and take off running again, slowly working your way to Irene's house.

As you attempt to jump to the next roof, a brick falls out from under your paws, and you fall straight into an open garbage bin. Climbing out, and more than slightly sickened, you pick the stray rubbish from your fur and absently grumble,

"I thought this sort of thing only happened in cartoons. This stinks!"

You're just about to climb back up and pick up where you left off, when you spot a small figure, huddled in the shadows that darken the alleyway. You freeze for a second, only to hear Irene's quiet sobbing. Still in the shadows yourself, you call out to her. You watch in horror as she looks up with a pair of her own feline eyes, which seem to glow in the minimal light of the alley. Tears stream down her face, and she stammers between sobs,

"I... I don't know what's happening to me, I... I... I keep changing into... something...."

She hasn't seemed to notice your current state quite yet, so you take her in your arms and let her cry. Before too long, she clutches her ankles. A few seconds afterward, you watch as her shoes bulge to an unwieldly size. Irene desperately tries to remove them, but before she can, the stiches give way and her feet tear through the fronts of her shoes. She wiggles her new toes to ensure that they ARE real, and starts sobbing again. You smile in an effort to comfort her, watching her look you over, now fully aware of your form.

"This happened to you, too?" she sniffles, somewhat puzzled.

"Well, sort of... " you respond, removing the tattered remains of her shoes from her paws.

You start to massage her feet, knowing that they hurt from the transfigurations. Before she relaxes, though, she starts rubbing the base of her spine nervously. Already knowing full well what's going to happen next, you move behind her and say,

"Here, let me get that for you."

She moves her hands aside to let you accomplish your plan. You grab the seam at the back of her jeans and tear open a hole. Irene darts forward on her knees uneasily, once more holding the base of her spine. You apologize as she shoots you a dirty look.

"Sorry about ripping open your pants like that, but you'll thank me in a moment."

As if on cue, a tail extends out from the hole you just made for her. She sighs for a second and stands, attempting to balance on her hind paws. It takes a few minutes, But she eventually seems to get the hang of it. Once her transformation ends, she places her arms around you and, gazing into your eyes, says,

"I was so afraid, I thought I was going to be alone... Going to be stuck as a monster."

She steps forward and gently kisses you on the side of your muzzle.

"Now, thanks to you, Idon't feel so bad about being this way."

Words fail you, you are absolutely speechless. You finally choke out,

"Don't worry about it, I'm just glad I found you, I-"

Your ears twitch nervously as you hear a voice from the end of the alleyway.

"There you two are. We've been looking all over for you!"

You glance over to see Brian and the shopkeeper from Spells'R'Us. Brian darts over to you and says,

"The old man got back as soon as you left. But anyways, I'm glad you found Irene. It's less work if you're already together."

The shopkeeper walks up to you and, placing his hands on either shoulder, smiles, saying,

"Come now, you two, we have much to talk about."
