Sir, you clearly need to go back in your browser history (or at least hit the "Back to the parent page" link) if you wish to continue the story. After all, there isn't even a scene here.
"How do you mean, no scene here?" you reply. "Aren't we still on the stage of 'The Mikado', so to speak?"
Well, not really. You are currently in an explanation. It would be more accurate to say that you are on the stage of Interactive Story page 673. Or rather, you were, before you clicked this link.
"Well, whose fault is that?" you say. "I just wanted to know what 'The Mikado' was before I continued the story. It's not like I went anywhere."
The narrator pauses.
"Wait, did you just say..." you begin.
Yes, I did, the narrator interrupts. After all, it's not like there's a metanarrator to narrate my own pauses for me. We're ruining the narrative flow as it is.
Anyway, I was going to say that, because you asked the story to be put on hold so you could get your explanation, you're no longer in the story. If you were, several dozen stage actors would be staring at you for talking into space, and you couldn't hear me.
Really, I would recommend that you just go back. It would make everything much easier for everyone.
