Irene squeezes her hand around your wrist. You see her open her eyes again, now that the fight's over. "We... No, hold on - I should help them...!" she gasps.
"Don't," you answer in a husky voice.
"Why not?"
"They've both been bitten!"
Irene gulps, and stays with you, watching to see what happens next.
Just as the ambulance arrives, some time later, Barbara gives a piercing yell, and collapes next to Stuart. Both of them seem to be having a fit. The paramedics rush out, then freeze. The couples' clothes tear, as their cries turn into growls and they transform. Getting up upon their hind paws, Stuart and Barbara shrug off the remainder of their clothing, and present themselves to the world as new-born wolf man and wolf woman. With a snarl, they attempt to make a meal out of the ambulance crew, who promptly dive back in and drive off, escaping. But not before Barbara has nipped one of the men on the leg.
The two werewolves howl in frustration, and run off - seeking other prey.
And now you see something else in the distance. The moon is rising behind the houses on the opposite side of the street.
"We've got to do something!" Irene turns to you, eyes becoming moist again. "The whole city will go to the dogs - I mean, wolves." She pauses, frowning. "Are you with me...or them?"
