"Well?" you ask.

"I'm not going to quibble with you," replies the wolf; "I still need your help, and you're going to need mine before long."

"What's that supposed to mean?" you ask with wide-eyed curiosity.

"For one thing," the wolf says, "you can't leave without another confrontation from me, and I don't think you want that. It's not going to matter in a few minutes, though, so keep your shirt on . . . but you might want to roll up the sleeves!"

You scratch your head, utterly lost by the wolf's remark and somewhat concerned that you are having a conversation with a wolf in the first place.
