In the corner nearest the door is a large figure, sleeping on a matress. It appears to be human, and is dressed in only an ill-fitting vest and shorts. When your eyes get uses to the light you can see that it is indeed Guido. You also see that the sleeping brute is holding a bunch of keys, clearly the keys to your shackles and Fred's cage.
