"Well, there's asimple answer to this." you say, and turn right away from the lamb and walk away. Waddle away. If Lengths wanted you to keep on eating until you explode, you weren't going to oblige. If you just walk away, you would eventually get out of the fairy tales. However, as you pass a row of trees, you find yourslf at another stream. With another lamb, and Fred looking out to the distance as if watching someone leave. As your heavy footsteps sound, Fred turns around, "How did you do that?" he asks. Dumb founded, you turn around and huridly waddle back the way you came, only to once again find yourself entering the scene. "It looks like we can't leave a story until we've at least gone through it to an extent."
"Well then, you eat the lamb." you say, even though your stomach protests. "I can't, that's not part of the story."
You grow in frustration. "FINE!" you yell at the heaven's, stomp over and before the lamb can say a word, you swallow it. "THERE, HAPPY NOW!?" You stomp out of the clearing, aware that the lamb had done nothing to satify your hunger. You not you have left the stream, and new scenery is unfolding. "We need to find a way out of this." you say as Fred catches up, "How do fairy tale characters get out of their story?" To that Fred can only shrug, "The only ones that leave the story are the ones who live happily ever after, and since the wolf is the universal villian in the stories, he doesn't get one."
"So all I can do is avoid being killed, what happens when I run out of stories?" You ask, trying to reason this out, there had to be a way to beat this system.
"No clue," said Fred, "Maybe that will count?" He didn't sound confident. A bleating gets your attention, and you realize you've walked into a clearing full of sheep. "Good lord." you say, realizing that this is your future meal. The only question is, what story are you in now?
