"I'm confused about something," you tell the wolf. "Didn't you tell me earlier that your name was Fred?"
"Yes," answers your four-footed friend. "Why?"
"Because the narrator just called you 'Luke' for some strange reason," you explain.
"That happens," Fred replies. In the last story, I kept getting called 'Elmer.' After that, 'Luke' isn't so bad, although I still prefer my real name."
You laugh, and Luke laughs with you.
"Now cut that out!" Luke screams. "I just told you that my name is Fred, and two seconds later, you still can't get it straight. What kind of a stupid narrator are you, anyway? My grandmother could do a better job."
