You feel the need to clear up a few things. "I can't promise I'll stay," you tell the wolf, "but before I make up my mind, I'd like to know what's going on here. Do you know how you came to be this way?"

Fred laughs. "I'm a werewolf, silly," he says, and laughs again. "I won't bite you, though. At least, not unless you want me to. I'd be willing to, you know, if you'd agree to stay."
