Weight Woes

The picture starts to come in, and you finally see a figure in the frame. At first you think it is Rick, but as details fill, you recognize the fur color, and Fred's clothes. You see yourself, but as big as Rick is, belly hanging down to your knees with Fred's shirt barely visible as it is stretched tight across your chest. "Noooooo, not again!" you say, recognizing your fat self.

Rick takes a look. "Darn, I was really hoping that was me," he says. He then seems to notice you, "Wait, you've been fat before? Well, don't worry, it's not like the camera actually works, it took my picture and I didn't gain anything. But... as long as it's here..." He begins to reach for it.

"No, I told you not to mess with it!" you say, picking it up and walking to the door, tears almost forming in your eyes. You are upset about this, you finally got to a normal weight and now this. You slam the door and drive back to Fred's.

All you can think about is the picture, even if Rick wasn't affected by it, there no proof you won't be, and you don't trust your luck. You run in through the door, and Fred immediately sees you crying. "Hey, what's wrong," he says, and you shove the picture into his chest, to upset to explain it. "Geez, seriously!? Did Rick do this?" You can't answer, so Fred sits you down and tries calming you. Eventually you get to a point where you explain the accident.

"Well... it didn't affect Rick, so maybe it is just a dud?" says Fred, "Don't look at me like that, I'm trying to hold out some hope here." You are giving Fred an unconvinced look.

"I know it's gonna happen," you say, "I mean look, my Clothes are already tight, it's already happening," You stand up and lift your arms to show it off.

"Those are my clothes and I'm a size down from you," says Fred, now the one looking unconvinced. "Of course it's tight on you. You are being paranoid. Besides even if you do start gaining, Angela will be here soon and she'd be able to uncurse you."

Well... he does have a point, unfortunately. It's not like you have a choice.

Albert chooses this time to come in. He takes one look at your expression. "Ok, what happened now!?" he says.

***

"I hate to say I told you so, but... well you know," says Albert. "But Fred is right, regardless, Angela will be able to fix things. And it's not like if something does happen your going to be alone."

"What do you mean?" you ask.

"Come work out with me tomorrow, you can burn off some worry, and see what's going on in town," he says, "Our Demon has been busy."
