Why do they call it "horseplay," anyhow?

Before you can answer, another boy runs up to you on all fours. "Cool it, Mark," says the first boy, but Mark doesn't listen. He jumps and paws at you several times and, to your horror, bites you in the forearm!

"What's got into you?" asks the first boy. "Mickey doesn't feel good, and here you are acting like an idiot. I think you've actually hurt him, you dork."

Mark looks genuinely shocked and stands. "O God, I'm awfully sorry, Mickey. I was just trying to cheer you up. I never had any intention of breaking the skin or anything."
