But the change doesn't stop with the loss of your hair. You notice that your skin has taken on a thick, leathery appearance. As you stare at your hands, you are horrified to see your fingers shrinking into stumps, your fingernails thickening.
An odd sensation runs through your body. Looking down, you see (and feel) your torso ballooning outward. Your arms and legs, meanwhile, are becoming squat and rounded, almost like pillars. You are changing into an animal! A very large animal, from the looks of it.
You close your eyes and try to think. Animal. Large. Hairless. Thick-skinned. That can only mean one of the pachyderms: elephant, rhinoceros, hippopotamus. But which one?
