You Can Never Have Too Many Dictionaries

"Hey, Fred!" you call to the wolf. "You got a Chinese/English dictionary?"

"Yeah, I do," answers Fred, looking up from the puddle of yogurt. "First bookcase on your right, bottom shelf, third book from the left end."

You scamper into Fred's home and quickly retrieve the volume he described. On your way out you stop to admire Fred's impressive collection of textbooks. You give a small whistle of amazement.

Propping the weighty tome against the front door, you set to work translating the writing on the mysterious object attached there. Fred, meanwhile, devours the rest of the scattered groceries.

It takes you several minutes and a great deal of thumbing through the huge book, but you eventually succeed in translating the writing. As the last phrase falls into place, you let out an agitated chirp.

"What is it?" pants Fred, padding to your side. "Did you find something?"

"I'll say I found something!" you gasp. "Do you know what this thing is? It's a ..."
