How Much Is That Doggy In The Closet?

... a brown and white beagle, wearing nothing but a bright red collar. Before you can say a word, the terrified canine streaks past you, creating a stiff breeze in the process. Spinning around, you and Fred discover your unexpected guest cowering in the far corner of the room.

"Hide me!" he wails. "He's right behind me! Don't let him get me!"

"Who's right behind you?" you ask, closing the door.

"Yeah," adds Fred. "Who are you, anyway?"

"There's no time for that!" the beagle whimpers. "He'll be here any second!" Without waiting for a response, the dog leaps into a nearby closet and slams the door shut. You and Fred hear the sound of heavy objects being dragged about, as if the dog is barricading himself in.

You take a step toward the closet, but a fierce pounding on the front door brings you to an abrupt halt. "It's him!" comes the beagle's muffled voice from the closet. "Don't let him in! Whatever you do, don't let him in!"
