The clowns forgot one minor detail...

"Don't ruffle your feathers!" says a the clown. "We can change you back to being human. Just drink some more potion whilst hoding a clown's hair."

"Of course, you'ld be a clown yourself." adds another "or you could have one of Amanda's hairs, but you'ld be a girl, like her."

Terrific. You're stuck between staying a parrot or being a clown or a girl instead. Nice.
