Not the best place to rest...

After a while, you look back into the water. Seeing something, you freeze and stare back again. Sure enough, your ears have become a pair of fuzzy dog's ears, moved up to the top of your head. Gasping, you grab at them, hoping they aren't real. The pain from tugging at your new hearing apparatus proves that none of this is fake. Apparently the water either did both of these things to you; or worse, it did one of these, and something else did the rest. Groaning, you rise and trudge along the path, still in a state of shock.
