Game 4 | Game 4 Outline |
You are taken aback at this question, as you have not created a backstory for your assumed identity. After a few moments of contemplation, you decide that it would be best to tell Zetos the truth. You start by telling him that 'Arra' is an assumed identity, then go on to tell him the entire story of what happened. Zetos first appears shocked, then intrigued, then sympathetic.
"Uh...well, I really don't quite know what to say...though, I do have a friend who is a powerful mage, perhaps he could do something, if you would like to come along... "
"Yes, please, " you respond. "I-I would really like just to return to normal as soon as possible......[sigh] While I’m in this form, you can just go ahead and refer to me by my assumed identity... "
Zetos nods solemnly and motions for you to follow him as he heads off.
-----
Several days later, you arrive at a large temple. Zetos leads you in, and shows you to where his friend the mage resides. The mage is dressed in long, flowing red robes and has long gray hair. He explains the situation to the mage, who nods and agrees to do what he can.
The mage chants in a strange foreign language and waves his hands about. You feel an odd tingling sensation all over your body, and then are engulfed in a cloud of smoke. When the smoke clears...
There is no change! Both Zetos and the mage seem shocked at this. The mage strokes his beard thoughtfully. "How could that have failed?! That was the most powerful manipulative magic spell I know! Obviously this is the result of powers far greater than my own. I am sorry I could do nothing to help your predicament, Arra. Zetos, I suggest you seek the Master Archmage himself. Perhaps he could do something to help. If not-[here he lowers his head and closes his eyes, speaking solemnly] I am afraid our friend Arra here is doomed to remain in this form... "
