The Next Test

"Uh, no, thank you." you say, trying to be polite. The very thought of turning into a baby kangaroo and letting her pretend to be your mother is sickening. You then see Maroo coming. "Hi, Professor", you say.\

"Hello, kids." He seems happy enough, "I'm sorry to spoil the fun, but it is time for the second test. Please, follow me. Matilda, you may come, too."

"What's the next test on?"Matilda took the words before you got the chance.

Maroo glances back at Matilda and you, he smiles, "You'll see."

He leads you to another lab, this one is divided into two sections, separated by a wall of glass. There is basically nothing in there but one table that is similar in appearence to an operating table, on one side; and on the other there are a few chairs. You figure that the side with the chairs is the observation room.

Maroo gives you directions, "Now, this is a test that deals with superconsentrate monkey DNA. I'm just going to inject you with monkey DNA. Simple, huh?"

"You mean that you're going to turn me into a monkey? Okay, will it be painfull?"you don't have the highest pain tolerance.

"A little. This will be a slow transformation, it will take about four hours until you start to REALLY resemble a monkey, the pain will probably come in waves, pretty regularly, about every 15 minutes." He notices the cringe on your face, "Don't worry it won't be that bad. Since it will take that long, you don't need to stay in here that long, you and Matilda can go outside for a while. But, come to 42 when you feel like it."

"When you say, monkey, what do you mean? While I be a full-fledged monkey, or will I be like a mix?"

"In about 4 hours, the untrained eye would not be able to tell the difference between a chimpanze and you. You'll shrink in size, your arms will lengthen to the point where you have to slump and drag your knuckles or use your arms to walk, your jaw will set out, your blue eyes will immediately turn black, you'll grow hair all over your body, your hands will odden a bit, your feet will become more like long hands, your fingernails and toenails will turn black, you will grow a short tail, your ears will grow a bit, your tounge will lengthen, your canines will grow a lot, your nose will grow into your face, y-"

You just couldn't stand it anymore, "That's pretty detailed."

"Yes, well, we've done it many times before, just not to someone as young as you."
