Pyrots of Eight!

You decide to surface to get your bearings. You find yourself in a small isolated bay some way along the coast.

As you are wondering what to do next, you hear a squarking. Looking up, you see several parrots dressed in pirate clothes.

"Hey, mateys!" squarks one that looks like he's the leader. "This creature has a pyrot beak, just like us!". He swoops down to take a closer look at you. "That means he's one of us! Grab 'im, boys!"

The pyrot leader and seven other pyrots grab each of your tenticles in their claws and carry you away over the sea!
