Back-Tracking!

"SCOTT, SCOTT!" you call to him "WAIT UP!". You finally manage to catch up with him.

"What's wrong?" he asks

"You don't want to follow those tracks, do you?"

"You bet I do! I want to find out about whatever made them, and where it came from!"

A brainwave comes to you "Well if you want to find out where it came from, why don't we follow the tracks backwards?". That should be safe enough, monsters don't walk backwards!
