Your new best friend

You decide to pull the thorn out. you reach down to the wolfs paw and take hold of the thorn. he wimpers loudly. you pull on the thorn but its really well stuck. you ask scott to grab it with you and pull. he groans. "oh come on" you say and he finnaly agrees to help. you take hold of the thorn again, the werewolf whimpering. scott graps your hand, and you both pull, yanking the thorn from the wolfs paw. the wolf screams in agony and you discover this is no mere thorn, but a very long, very thin spinter of wood, being about 3 inches long and less than an eighth of an inch wide. the werewolf bleeds perfusely.
