Mother...

You go back into the woods and see Matilda lying down. You notice she is breathing hardly and her wrinkles are really noticeable.

"Mother?" you say, "What's wrong."

"Joey, I'm-"

"Don't worry mom! You'll feel better. I promise."

"No, you don't understand," Matilda coughs, "I'm dying. Of old age."

You begin to cry. "There's something I need to tell you," you finally say.

"What's that?"

"I walked by a house, a human house. It seemed familiar."

"Oh," replies Matilda, "I should tell you this before I go. You weren't always a Kangaroo. You were born-" There is a pause. "You were born as a boy. A human boy. When you were a kid, you helped a scientest with his experiment-he turned you into an anthro-Kangaroo."

"A what?"

"Anyway, he was killed when you woke up. You wanted me to turn you back, but I wanted to keep you. So I turned you into a Joey and took you to the forest. You've been with me ever since."

"And how.."

She was died.
