Up: Game 4  Up: Game 4 Outline

You try to distract the gang - shouldn't be too hard for a pretty girl like yourself, right?

You call Amy on your cell phone to warn her about your gang's plans. Amy says, "Oh, trying to sneak up on us, are they? Don't worry, I know how to handle them, but I need you to distract them for a little bit."

"Distract them?" you say, puzzled. "How?"

Amy giggles.

"Oh, no," you protest. "I know what you're thinking, and uh uh, no way."

"Oh, don't worry. They won't give you any trouble," Amy assures you.

"But . . . ."

"Time's running out," Amy reminds you. She's right. If you're going to distract the gang, you have to do something now.

"Okay, I'll take care of things here," you say. "But I'm not going to do anything that you're thinking of in that dirty mind of yours."

"I know I can count on you, girlfriend," Amy beams. "I have a good feeling about you. All right, we'll prepare a little surprise for the boys here. Now go on and do your thing! See you later!" Amy hangs up.

You're a bit nervous as you put your cell phone away and start walking toward your gang. Normally, you'd be glad to see them, but seeing them as a girl isn't something you'd ever expected would happen.

Mike is the first to make eye contact with you. The other boys then turn to look at you. They whisper comments to one another, some of which you speculate might have something to do with your female anatomy. "Something we can do for you?" Mike asks you.

"Well . . . ." you start to reply, your heart beating a little faster. "I was wondering where you guys were headed."

"And you are?" Mike asks you.

"I'm, uh, I'm Cynthia," you reply. "You wouldn't be heading to Amy's house by chance, would you? I heard she's having a sleepover."

"Maybe," Mike says suspiciously. "What's it to you?"

You're hoping that you can persuade Mike to let you join in on their plan so that you can buy Amy and the girls more time. You have acting experience from doing school plays and decide to put that experience to good use. "I can't stand that @#$%," you grumble convincingly. "She thinks she's all that when she ain't nothin'. I'd love to knock her down a peg."

Mike looks you up and down thoughtfully. Then he says, "We need to discuss this." He motions to the other gang members to huddle up. A short discussion ensues for the next two minutes. Then, the huddle breaks and Mike turns back toward you.

"We've decided that you can help us," Mike tells you.

"Cool," you say. Looks like you're in . . . or are you?

"You can help us if," Mike adds with a grin, "you let us see what's under your shirt." Some of the other gang members chuckle.

You listen to what Mike says with outward calmness, but your insides are churning with a mixture of embarrassment and anger. What will you do now?
