When Robots Attack

You're the last human being on the planet. At least you're pretty sure. You haven't seen another in over five years. Everyone else was transported to the moon or somewhere safer. Not you, you stayed on Earth. Then the robots came, huge swarms of them, all at once. You quickly found out that they had a weakness to books and words for some reason that you still don't know. So you've stayed in a house for a few years that used to belong to one of your friends. It's safe, after you used two large bookshelves to close yourself in. They had a basement bigger than a super-Walmart, full of delicious, mostly non-perishable food that you've been surviving on. The real problem was, it was all getting old. You had to get outside the house.

The Beginning

You wake up to the dark, damp room you went to bed in. Your friend's mansion us just as messy as ever, thanks to you living there. You climb out of your bed and step in some kind of strange, food-looking item. You wipe it off your foot, and continue your day.

You walk over to the closet and look for some clothes that you can wear. An old, ripped shirt and a pair of ripped pants. The usual. You dig through your sock pile to find some wearable socks, and they all have huge holes in them. You really need to make a supply run.

You wish you could look out the windows and see what was happening outside, but you can't, because you'd blocked them off as well, just to insure that the robots didn't get it.

Suddenly, you hear a knock at the window.
