Heart Beating

You walk into the Labratory, prepared for your first day of "work". You're not really sure what to do but you follow the signs until you arrive in the main room. A receptionist tells you to go upstairs and take a right, and you'll be in the right room. You follow her instructions, and arrive in a room containing a bed, and one other person, a female scientist.

2: Hi! Nice to meet you! Just lie down on this bed while I take your pulse.

The scientist grabs your wrist as you lay down, and takes a quick measurement of your heart.

2: Seems normal! 60 beats per minute. Now, I just need you to run a quick lap around this floor, and come back.

1: Okay, sounds good.

You do a quick lap and walk back into the room, panting. The scientist once again takes your heart beat.

2: Okay, now, we're going to put you into a variety of strange situations. Wear this bracelet to monitor your heart rate. Your reactions are crucial to this experiment.

1: Okay, that's easy enough.

Suddenly the lights go out. On the wall, a waterfall is projected and it calms you down. You hear birds chirping too. You're glad that you did this experiment.

The waterfall shuts off, and you feel hands grab you and throw you onto the bed. Bright lights turn on and the scientist is standing over you.

2: Where did you hide the key?!

1: What are you talking about?

2: The key, where is the key?!

You get nervous. You're not sure what is going on, and you certainly don't know what key she's talking about.

1: I'm 100% telling the truth, I don't know what key!

The lights turn off again. You are thrown out of the bed and put into a kneeling position on the floor. A light turns on that is just over you. Everything is completely quiet. Then, the scientist jumps out at you, and you fall back in horror. The lights turn off again and you are put into the same kneeling position. Then the light over you turns on and everything is quiet. You hear a noise behind you and suddenly your feet are being tickled. You burst out laughing but you can't stop it. It tickles too much. Then, it stops. The lights go off. The waterfall turns back on. You stare at it, panting.

1: I missed this.

The waterfall turns off and you're put near the wall. The lights turn on and the scientist is coming at you with a large book in her hands, as if she's about to hit you with it. You cover yourself, and the lights turn off. The door opens up, and you hear a voice, from in the room.

2: Please place your bracelet by the door. We have all the data we need. Thank you, and come again!
