"Well, what else did you change? I didn't see anything, but it's hard to imagine you didn't mess with the remote some more while I was all quadrupedal," you say, still adjusting to speaking with a vulpine muzzle. She grins awkwardly, ears folded back against her head in an adorable guilty expression. It can't be healthy for someone to be that perfect-looking.
"Well... I've made a few changes." She moves her head in a circular motion, indicating the entire house. "You probably noticed that I added a few rooms to our house and put in furniture suited to us fox-people." You had noticed that; the chair you're sitting in is comfortable in spite of your tail. She continues on, explaining, "I also made some general changes. I haven't gone out, but I made it so that nobody thinks we're odd. I turned some random passerby into fox-people, too, but I made sure that it didn't mess anything up and that they thought they'd always been that way. I didn't want us to stick out too much," she explains. You nod. Fairly good reasoning, and it was "just" a species change - compared to Sarah's changes and your week of fox-hood, changing to an anthro is hardly a big deal.
"Honestly, that's a lot more restrained than I expected. I'm glad to know I can trust someone else with the remote, too. You're right, things are going to be WAY different from now on, but I think this will be a good thing. So how about it? You want to really go out on the town as Sarah? Or are you still a little uncomfortable with it?" Sarah looks at you, both nervous and excited.
"I think I'm ready. It took a lot of adjusting, but honestly, the mental changes helped a lot. And I think finally being in public as the new me will help me settle in better. What were you thinking?" she asks. Now it's your turn to smile. You reach over and take her hand in yours (you know for a fact that she made you more confident at this point), causing her to look tremendously embarrassed.
"Well... I was thinking we could go get dinner somewhere. Would you be up for that, or is that a little too weird?" Sarah shakes her head, startled.
"What? No! I mean, yes, I'd love to, and no, it's not too weird. I mean - oh, geez, I need to change, then. Shoot, I don't have anything decent, just a bunch of T-shirts! And I don't have all those girl skills in making myself look decent! I -" You cut her off, laughing. You remind her that there's a magical remote that can alter anything. A few button-pushes later, and Sarah is all dressed up. Not super fancy, just a good-looking dress and such. You grin. Catching up with the world can wait.
Soon enough, you and Sarah are out walking through town, the remote very securely in her purse, altered to only respond to the two of you. The late afternoon passes pleasantly, and as evening falls, you and Sarah walk into the local seafood restaurant, her hand in yours, and sit down at an outdoor table overlooking the river. You think you may be able to go for the classic kiss at sunset, when suddenly, you hear a familiar voice, and see your old friend Will walking to your table.
"Hey, man, how's it going? Thought you were dead or fell down a toilet or something, you've been so quiet the last week. Who's your lady friend?"
Well, now. This could be interesting. How do you respond?
