Yes stone, for the little girl was no little girl at all. Tearing away "her" face, you are presented with the scary visage of a goblin in disguise.

"you stupid cat! now me gonna shatter you to pieces. me hate tiger things! Hahaha!"

"you fiend!" you hear Moreau cry as he attempts to wack the goblin with his cane.

"Yet again Gobby steal what is yours old man!" the goblin cackles as he avoids the attack with ease then vanishes into the jungle. his giggling the stuff that will haunt your nightmares. Provided you survive this enounter.

"who was that?" you cry in a weird throaty voice that sounds like its mixed with a seal or walrus.

Dr. Monreau collapse beside you, partially exhausted and also near tears.

"an old colleague of mine I'm afraid, oh and look what he's done to you my new friend."

Indeed. the goblin's touch was now somehow turning you to stone. Literally petrifying you like in the legends of old.

"can't you help me?" you managed to whimper out.

Monreau sighs, a look of dejection is all the answer you will ever need.
