Spy game

"Okay, fine," the doctor reluctantly says. "Scott, you can hear this, too. I believe you're both trustworthy and won't tell anyone else."

You do a "zip your lip" gesture at Scott, and he imitates you and nods understandingly. "So let's talk about the job," you say to the doctor.

"Yes, let's," the doctor responds. "The job is espionage. Doctor Hex, the man that your father is trying to track down, is . . . ."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa," you cut in. "How do you know my father? How do you know about Doctor Hex?"

"Your parents carefully planted the advertisement so that you would find it," the doctor explains. "We knew it would catch your interest. We tried to avoid verbally discussing this job with you, as we were afraid that the house may have been compromised."

"What does that mean?" Scott asks you.

"What does what mean?" you reply.

"Comp-mise? What does that mean?"

"Com-PRO-mise. It means that there might be some sort of spy device hidden in my house," you tell him. "Now let's let the doctor finish."

"Before I continue," says the doctor, "perhaps I should tell you my name."

"The name you gave in the ad isn't your real name?" you ask in surprise.

"It is not," the doctor says, shaking his head. "In this business, you can't be too careful, you know. My name is Doctor Zee. Now, getting back to the job. The two of you are going to infiltrate Doctor Hex's training facility, where he's preparing young children to serve him. He brainwashes these children into believing that what he's doing is for the benefit of mankind."

"What is he trying to accomplish with all this?" you ask.

What will the doctor's response be?
