Game 4 | Game 4 Outline |
You know the guards will be on you, and try to make Prince Shane laugh as quickly as you can. It ought to work, you think. Someoen who's had as little physical contact as the prince has had ought to be insanely ticklish.
Just as you wonder whether your idea is right, you hear a giggle. Then you hear another, then open laughter. But surely it isn't coming from Prince Shane. You look into his face, and see that he isn't laughing. Then what...
You hadn't had time to wonder why the guards didn't grab you, but now you see the answer as you look around. Your fingers are still tickling Prince Shane's feet, doing so almost unconsciously. And all around the room all the guards and courtiers are roaring with laughter. The Chamberlain is even rolling on the floor, kicking about helplessly.
Prince Shane alone remains calm. You stop tickling his feet for a moment. Everyone else in the room begins to recover. Then you tickle the prince again, and the hysteria resumes.
"I'm sorry I called for the guards," Prince Shane tells you. "I didn't realize you were only tickling me. I thought it might be an assassination attempt. Keep tickling my feet, by the way; that will give us time for a conversation. I see noone told you about the second part of my curse of melancholia. Whatever anyone does directly to me is actually felt by everyone else in the room instead."
