Meet Keji the warrior

You look around. You can see the castle in the distance, and the forests around you, and the cave entrance. You look at your hand, finding yourself holding a steel longsword with an oval-shaped hand guard. Slung over your back is a sheath for the sword. Your dark hair has fallen loose and hangs down to the middle of your back. The long, flowing courtly dress you had in the castle has been replaced with a simple, long-sleeved loose white dress that reaches just above your knees, allowing you the greatest freedom of movement.

Your attention is suddenly drawn to the cave entrance, as you hear what sounds like chuckling coming from it. You watch as a man exits the cave casually. He is just slightly taller than you, well-muscled but not obscenely so, with medium-length brown hair swept back. He's dressed in a black shirt and pants, and a long light brown sleeveless jacket, left open. His right hand holds a large flamberge sword resting on his shoulder. He looks back at the cave, grinning. "Heh heh heh," he chuckles to himself. "That was just too easy. Any prize from that would be an insult." He then seems to see you for the first time, and pauses. "Oh. And who might you be, young lady?" he asks politely.

You take a step back, surprised by the sudden appearance. "I'm, uh, Lisa," you say, picking the first female name that pops into your head. You pause for a second. You hadn't needed to put any thought at all into that name; the man had asked who you were and you immediately thought of the name 'Lisa', just as if it had been your name for your entire life. You put these thoughts aside and look at the stranger. "And...who are you?" you ask him.

The man grins a manic grin. "I'm Keji, the great warrior. What'cha doin' all the way out here, Lisa?"

You sigh and rest your sword on your shoulder. You give him a summarized version of your tale, explaining how you are the maiden of prophecy, chosen to rule the kingdom, and that you must kill this 'Dagoth'.

Keji seems mildly surprised when you mention you're (supposedly) to be the Queen of the kingdom, but it is only when you mention Dagoth that his face splits into a wide grin. "Sounds like fun. I'm in." You can only blink, surprised, so Keji elaborates: "I'm looking for a fight that can give me a challenge. It's no fun if it's too easy. I'm going along wit' ya, see if it'll give me more of a challenge than that (he jerks his thumb at the cave) did."
