"So I am now the Queen of this kingdom?" you ask, finding the thought odd but not unwelcome. But to your shock, Yoshi gives a faint smile, closes his eyes... and shakes his head.
"No. It was also foretold this Queen would, before her coronation, perform the greatest task ever seen in our world, and never be seen or heard from again. You must slay the powerful demonic creature known as 'Dagoth'. He is the one who moulded the false princes and murdered the originals. He is the one who blighted the land, cursing the weak to die and the cowardly to join him." Yoshi looks extremely angry but also very scared as he says this, and you know that destroying this 'Dagoth' will be no picnic.
"Okay. Where is 'Dagoth'?" you ask, your face set and your will resolute. Yoshi gives a large smile and conjures up a map and a table, putting the former upon the latter and beckoning you closer to both.
"This, the castle and town of Oshmirik, is, as you can see, to the far northwest of the kingdom. The cave which you entered our world from is southwest a few miles, and is surrounded by forest on all sides. These forests stretch for a long while, but if you have the patience to hack through them, they thin near the middle of the world, and give place to mountains and ruins, filled by powerful and dangerous creatures - including the age-old vampires. Past them are a few more towns - small outposts of a formerly great nation - and, beyond that, dark and twisted forests. Finally, there is the Castle of Akhan, where Dagoth's power is drawn from and, on the edge of the landscape, Red Mountain... a live volcano. In the very epicentre you may find Dagoth," Yoshi finishes, shaking visibly at the very thought. You also shudder, but you're still sure you want to go.
"I will teleport you as far out as I can - to the Cave which you started from. I'll also give you a small part of my magical essence and a sword. Good luck, maiden." You notice for the first time he has referred to you as a woman without any sarcasm, but you disregard that and close your eyes... and soon, you're back at the cave, with paths leading in all directions.
