You sit up slowly, clutching your wounded arm as you hide in the dirt until the crocodile leaves. You feel a curious tingling in your skin, and hunch over on all fours for no apparent reason. Your spine arches uncontrollably, and you feel intense pressure in the area of your tailbone. You cringe as the skin breaks, with a sound like the tearing of wet paper. You whimper and hide your tail between your legs.
Tail?! You look down and see a spotted jaguar tail, swaying to your own unconscious rhythm. Your fingernails lengthen and change shape to become claws as spotted fur travels up your fingers to your arm.
You rip off your clothes and gasp to see the spotted pelt completely covering you. Suddenly, you are able to see your nose elongating into a small muzzle, complete with whiskers. There is a strange sound in your head, and you feel your ears move up your head and reshape, before twisting back like an alarmed cat's.
