"Please?" you grovel. "Just until I get acclimated. That's all."
Jason rolls his eyes. "Oh, I suppose," he groans. "Hand me my sneakers, will you?" You do, and he returns to human form in the twinkling of an eye. While Jason rebuttons his collar, you try to figure out how his fur seemingly melted away without breaking the laws of physics. You are interrupted by the sound of a door slamming. Startled, Jason jumps so high that his head thumps against the ceiling.
"What's up?" asks a lanky werewolf standing at the entrance to the kitchen, a strawberry milkshake in his taloned hand.
Jason smiles like a used-car salesman. "Uh, Kevin! What are you doing here? I mean, it's nice that you're home an hour too early. That is, ahead of schedule. Hee hee! Uh, this is Mickey. Remember Mickey? Sure, you do. Mickey and I, uh, were playing make-believe. We have to. It's homework."
Kevin waits until Jason is through with his performance before coughing into his fist. He then takes a big whiff of the air around him. "Who's the human?" he asks, eyeing you like a double cheeseburger.
