A little later, you are sitting back in the changing area, happily wading into a large tub of cookies n' cream. You are leaning back on Fred, who makes a lovely pillow.
Fred had complained about this, being "worried about you falling and squishing me!" You had curtly reminded him that even if you did fall on him, the most likely outcome would be you bouncing off.
He is now lying content, guzzling an equally large tub of mint choc-chip. With no spoon. Rex is sitting opposite, pudgy legs dangling off a bench. He finishes a tub of double chocolate, and starts digging into the 'spare' pot of butterscotch flavour. He looks a little guilty at his stretching slacks and top.
"Always been a sucker for ice-cream." he mutters. He sticks his legs out straight, past his bulging gut, and waves. "Bye bye feet! It was nice knowing you, but I think my tummy's about to come between us for good!" All three of you laugh.
"Umm," you eventually enquire, "do you know if anything.. odd's been seen or happened around here lately?"
Rex is baffled. "Such as..?"
After some humming and hawing, you decide to trust your fat, friendly pal. You outline your suspicions about Raffles' base being in the park. After some thought, Rex replies, "I haven't noticed anything, but there are definately some places that he could use." You are grateful that he doesn't just dismiss your ideas. "I guess nothing's beyond belief to Rex anymore." you decide, feeling very sad for him.
He stirs and stretches. "There's a detailed plan of the park in my room. It's a little... cosy, but if you don't mind squeezing up some, you can try and work out where he may be hiding."
