A second offer

As you watch the competition, a 'scent' reaches you. By now you've sort of gotten used to everyone giving off the weird feeling, but this... this is different. Everything seems to slow down to a crawl, literally. Color seems to drain and you can see everything as if it is moving in slow motion.

"You feel that," says a familiar voice over your shoulder. and you jump and turn, seeing the demon right behind you, even with everything else stuck at a crawl.

"How... are you doing this," you asked, stunned.

"There is so much you don't know, even about yourself now," he chuckles, "But what's important is that." he says, pointing at the boar, and you feel that scent washing over you. Your eyes almost glaze over, there is an almost divine quality to it, a flavor and scent that rivals anything you've felt before, the texture like being wrapped in a warm sunbeam. "You feel it. That is pure gluttony. You've felt the petty desires and enjoyment of these mortals, but this is what the real thing feels like." He says, "This is your first time, isn't it? I can only imagine what that feel like, that first sip of something real, like the relief of water for a man dying of thirst."

You can barely register this, so absorbed in the glow you almost lose yourself. "Wha... what do you want?" you manage to get out. The Frog grins, "I created you, so can you blame me for wanting to share your first real taste of gluttony. You're practically a son, or the closest thing a Demon can achieve."

You would react with anger, but your too absorbed in this. "Which get's me to my point. I have been pondering over this, and have come with an offer. I would like to take you on as my protégé."

That is enough to break the spell the scent has on you. "What?" you say, shocked.

"You are a new demon, not only that, you are one born outside of hell. You have no grasp on your abilities, and you won't find another demon on this plane, and don't imagine finding one of the same kinship." Says the Frog, "I can teach you everything you can do, and then, we can help each other."
