We sail the ocean blue!

"Well," replies the Mikado, "there's nothing to be done for it now. A foreign ship has been sighted off to the east, and I want Koko to act as the Imperial representative." Koko immediately changes his manner, stands up, and assumes a supposedly dignified posture. "It is an honor." he says. "Yes," says the Mikado, "but that's not the reason we're sending you. You see, they might be hostile, and we could probably afford to lose you." Katisha snickers. Koko gulps, losing a bit of his affected nobility.

A few hours later, the ship lands. It is clearly of English make, and appears to be a warship. A tall man confidently walks down the gangway into a crowd of curious onlookers. Koko nervously taps him on the shoulder. "You must be a native," says the tall man unflappably, "I am Captain Edward Corcoran, KCB, of the HMS Pinafore, here to discuss trade relations with the Emperor of Japan. Go fetch him." He presses a halfpenny into Koko's hand and shoos him away. Koko is too surprised by this display of condescension to think of an adequate response, and begins walking off to meet the Mikado.

Corcoran examines the crowd, and quickly spots you. "You don't look like the others," he says. "You wear one of those funny gown thingies, but you don't look like a native. What's your name?" Koko suddenly halts in his tracks. "Funny gown thingies?!" says Koko, showing more than a bit of annoyance, "Funny gown thingies?! These, my good sir (You detect a hint of venom), are kimonos, which I myself designed, and I will not hear a word spoken against them."
