Art for art's sake?

You shake your seemingly-oversized head (a near match to Fred's, as far as you can tell) and snarl up at whoever, wherever, "Hey, I said cubist, not surrealist! Get it right!"

The colors seem to flow back to their proper confines ... but the entire scene seems out of focus. "Come on", yaps Fred, "even I know better than that. That's impressionism. Next?"

With a sound like a small tornado, you and Fred, and everything else, dissolve into a spray of particles! You can still see and hear, somehow, but you're only a vague shape resembling yourself. You recognize pointillism ... maybe it's time to give up on this idea. On the other hand, you still haven't seen cubism, and it has to come around sometime ... maybe ...

"Pick something else!", yelps Fred, "I feel like I'm coming out of a spray can!"
